The Optilab White Light Interferometer (WLI) is an enhanced version of scanning Michelson interferometer designed to obtain the Polarization Cross Talk (X-talk) and the  Polarization Extinction Ratio (PER) of polarizing photonic devices, i.e., MIOC, LiNbO3 modulators, beam splitters. The WLI is also a powerful tool in obtaining the space-resolved stress information of the Polarization Maintaining (PM) fiber coil by detecting the polarization cross-coupling along it. The advantages of the WLI includes high spatial resolution, large dynamic range and high measurement sensitivity. The WLI can be used for the evaluation or in-process monitoring of the components of Fiber Optical Gyros (FOGs) and Fiber Optical Current Sensors (FOCS). The WLI is equipped with WLI VieW LabView software and with user friendly GUI interface, which displays the location and X-talk value of each stress point as a function of distance along the DUT.
